About Miss Sue’s Summer Program
Miss Sue’s Summer Fun is for children ages 3 – 5. Families can choose 8, 6, or 4 week sessions and can choose 2 to 5 days per week. Our regular session is from 9:45am – 4:00pm and our mini-day session is from 9:45am – 2:00pm.
Miss Sue’s Summer Fun reflects the same nurturing, self-esteem building philosophy as our school program. Door-to-door bus service, nutritious lunches prepared fresh daily, towel service, camp bag and shirt, photos and videos are included.
In addition to our state-of-the-art playground facilities, campers enjoy 2 swims each day in full-sized pools. Supervised by our Nassau County certified/WSI lifeguards, campers learn to swim in small groups. Pool parties, water sports, a water slide, “water skiing”, wind surfing, paddle boats and rafts add to the fun. Our skilled staff provides sports instruction in baseball, soccer, football, tennis, lacrosse, volleyball, karate and more.
Group games, relays, contests and a non-competitive Color War are enjoyed by all age groups. Miss Sue’s Summer Fun provides a safe, secure summer of all the camp activities you remember as a child. Our “little” world offers “big” world experiences — specifically designed and planned for success and the individual growth of our young campers.
Each group is led by an Early Childhood Teacher. Our Camper to Staff ratio is 3 to 1. We have a full time pediatric nurse and many staff are certified in CPR and First Aid. Doctors are always on call and we are located within one mile of North Shore University Hospital at Plainview. We keep a sophisticated First Aid kit and a Defibrillator on premises.
Our hands-on Directors are actively involved in all daily camp activities and are dedicated to meeting your children’s needs. Our staff is available to speak with you before, during and after our camp day.
